Education & Experience…

Ginny Van Dine received her BA in Art History from Willamette University, Salem OR and her MA in Art History from University of California Davis, CA. Her MA thesis focused on the ceremony and symbolism involved in the re-erection of ancient Egyptian obelisks in Rome by the papacy during the 16th and 17th centuries. While in graduate school she co-founded an art and visual culture podcast: researching, writing and hosting topical episodes in addition to co-authoring a resulting art terminology book in 2020. From 2017-2021, she managed Slate Art Gallery in Oakland, CA where she executed a bi-monthly exhibition program, worked with art collectors, and oversaw registrar duties. Her involvement working with contemporary and emerging art continued as the Artist Manager at Tappan Collective from 2021-2023 where she managed an artist roster of 80+ artists arranging virtual as well as gallery exhibitions. Her knowledge of art history, background in art historical research, organizational skills, and working knowledge of the contemporary art market are pillars to her work at ARAI.
