Education & Experience…

Sandra Miller, whose interests in art are broad, was trained at the National Art School in Sydney, Australia. A keen intellect, always a scholar and with strong academic leanings, Sandra began her career as a lecturer in Art History, an art department head, and a teacher of studio visual art. With her husband, she educated clients in the historical and design aspects of the frame and the benefits of archival framing to complement and enhance artworks.

Named a Regent of the Guild of the National Picture Framers Association, she collaborated at the national level in the publication of the standards for preservation and framing of works of art on paper and fiber, leading to the establishment of a national accreditation and recognition of expertise and quality of craft in the Industry. She was instrumental in the creation of the Central Oregon Regional Arts Council and helped launch the visual arts component of the Artists in the Schools program. In 2001 Sandra received the Oregon Governor's Art Award recognizing her contributions to the arts and to the effects of art in the revitalization of the economy. Sandra’s research skills, her knowledge of frames, experience and abilities are a continuing asset.
