Abigail Athanasopoulos, ASA: Special Projects Consultant
Education & Experience…
Abby Athanasopoulos has been a consulting appraiser and a past project manager of larger East Coast assignments for ARAI. With a B.A. degree in Art History from Wellesley College, she completed her appraisal training coursework in the ASA's Principles of Valuation series at the Pratt Institute in New York and is current with the in-effect Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Ms. Athanasopoulos is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the ASA (American Society of Appraisers) with a Fine Art designation and is dedicated to the appraisal profession. During her membership ArtTable, the national organization for women in the arts, she regularly participated in their Career Development Roundtable program as a facilitator at the appraiser table. She also served as the Chairperson for ASA's mentor program. No stranger to the artworld, Abby formerly worked at D. Wigmore Fine Art in New York, where she both assisted with sales and managed the gallery’s public relations. Abby's networking abilities, research and organizational skills have made her association for special projects with ARAI a plus.
